His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has been admitted to a hospital in the US for medical tests, and thus rescheduled a meeting with President Donald Trump, Minister of Amiri Diwan said Sunday.

His Highness the Amir, who is in US, was scheduled to meet with US President Trump on September 12.

Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah said the hospital admission of His Highness the Amir forced the postponement of the summit meeting with Trump, and a date would be set later.

Sheikh Ali prayed to Allah the Almighty to bestow His Highness the Amir with good health.

Meanwhile, Kuwaiti people will celebrate tomorrow (Mmonday, Sept 9th) the fifth anniversary of the UN honoring of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as a "Humanitarian Leader" and of Kuwait as a "Humanitarian Center."

The UN gesture came in recognition of Kuwait's outstanding and unique contributions under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir.
