MoI to remove expats working in all departments

Ministry of Interior issued an internal instructions to make lists of all expat employees pending terminating their contracts, local daily Kuwait Times reported. According to report, many expat administrative employees at the traffic, citizenship and passport departments will be laid off in view of the availability of citizens qualified to replace them, in addition to the need to transfer extra Kuwaiti employees from other interior ministry departments to the above mentioned ones.

The daily, quoting sources added that all expat administrative employees in other interior ministry departments, with the exception of legal advisers, will be laid off within a maximum of two years.

Just yesterday Kwt Deputy Foreign Minister was appreciating the importance of Expat workers which boots the economy and progress. And now they are planning to terminate expat workers from MOI??

Good move for the Kuwaiti Government to be independent with transition in sustainable for local manpower with their own citizens. I hope the expats will be given due process and all benefits for work will be awarded before leaving Kuwait.

after termination please see that they are sent back home safely with dignity and full indemnity......do not let them loiter in the local market or again the buying and selling of visas will be in full swing...
