Tulu Koota Kuwait (TKK) Felicitated former President of Tulu Sahithya Academy and Mulki - Moodbidri MLA, Shri. Umanath Kotian.

Tulu Koota Kuwait, held felicitation ceremony for Shri. Umanath Kotain, The Former President of Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy and MLA of Mulki-Moodabidri constituency, for his gratifying leadership, devotion, dedication and hard work towards Tulu Language, Art, Culture and Socio-economic development on October 4, 2019 at Salmiya Play School Rumaithiya Kuwait.

During this felicitation ceremony, Tulu Koota Kuwait President Shri. Ramesh Shekar Bhandary briefed MLA about the objective and glorious journey of Tulu Koota and its focus on welfare and social cultural activities for the people of Tulu Nadu in the last 20 years through its various Projects namely, Ashraya Yojane, Bagyada Bolpu, and Project Education.

President of the Koota, invited MLA for the upcoming mega program Tulu Parba 2019, a festival of cultural diversity of Tulunadu which is going to be held on Friday, October 25th, 2019 at American International School Auditorium, Maidan Hawally Kuwait. New Title song for the Bhoomi Bechaand concept for the Tulu Parba 2019 was released.

This time a formal appeal was made to MLA by TKK President to include Tulu Language in the 8th Schedule of the Indian Constitution. Same time MLA was requested to take action to change the timing of Air India Express flight which is operating thrice in Kuwait - Mangalore sector. As the current flight timings are inconvenient for the passengers, urged to revert to the original (Old) timing.

MLA Shri. Umanath Kotian was felicitated and honored by TKK President and Advisors with flower, Shawl and Memento.

During his speech, he praised Tulu Koota’s work for their people in Kuwait and back In Tulu Nadu. He asked all Tuluvas come together and to be proud their Tulu nadu culture and heritage. He also stressed about being responsible person in any post given to everyone.

Shri. Umanath Kotain also promised that he will urge the Central Government to include Tulu Language in the eighth schedule of the Constitution and efforts will continue for the same. He also said that he will get in touch with PM and try to resolve the issue of Air India Express flight timings.
