Kozhikode District Association, Kuwait celebrated Onam-Eid in grand style

Kozhikode District Association, Kuwait celebrated Onam-Eid on October 11th, 2019 at Indian Community School, Khaitan. Mr. John Simon, Marketing Manager, AlMulla Exchange inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp. Association President Mr. Sreeneesh Sreenivasan presided over the inaugural function. General Secretary Mr. Abdul Najeeb.T.K explained the activities of the Association. Mrs. Shagirani Bharathan gave the Onam-Eid message. Association Patrons Mr. Hameed keloth, Bharathan.E.C, Shareef thamarassery and Mahilavedi President Mrs. Indira Radhakrishan offered felicitations.

Almulla Exchange Group Marketing Manager Mr. John Simon and Indian Volleyball Asst. Coach & Kerala Volleyball coach Mr. Abdul Nazer were honored by Association President Mr. Sreeneesh Sreenivasan and General Secretary Mr. Abdul Najeeb T.K respectively

Children of Association members who excelled in Secondary and Higher Secondary examinations were honoured on the occasion with mementos. The Award instituted by the Association in the name of Late Moideenkoya, for the highest scorer in Higher Secondary Examination was bagged by Miss. Sandra.M. Ranjith Pilakkat Memorial Award instituted to honour the highest scorer in Secondary School Examination was bagged by Master. Navaneeth Gireesh. And honoured other students who scored high marks in Secondary school exam. Jiya jinesh, Sreelakshmi Prabhat, Divyasree.M, Ashyarya Sathyanandan, Hessa Fathima, Lubna Basheer, Muflih Rahman, Shammas Shabeer, Fathima Rinu, Anagha S.N, Muhammed Shamil, Shahma Gafoor, Najiya Nasreen and Manu.K received memento from Association office bearers.

General Convener Mr. Jawed Bin Hameed welcomed the gathering and Association Treasurer Mr. Vineesh.P.V expressed vote of thanks. Mr. Shamsudheen and Mrs. Aneesha Shyjith compered the day long program. The celebration was memorable with the attendance of large number of members, presence of the eminent personalities of social, cultural, economic and commercial field of Kuwait. Kozhikode district association family celebrated the joyous day with traditional and cultural programs of Kerala and Kuwait including Onam songs, Thiruvathirakali, Oppana, Vanchipattu, Kavitha, Ganamela, Mappilappattu, Cinimatic dance, …etc. The lip-smacking ‘Onasadya’ was the main highlight which was served to more than thousand persons who took part in the celebrations.

Maveli, the symbolic representation of king Mahabali blessed all of the association members and was present throughout the day to cherish the celebrations. The participation of large number of members, variety of programs by Mahilavedi, Balavedi and members exhibited the great talents of the association members and which made the Onam-Eid celebration to the grand success. Association thanks all of who attended the function to share the love and happiness of Onam and Eid with us.
