ICSK - Gyanotsav, An Educational Extravaganza

“Imagination is the source of every form of human achievement.”

On 7th November, 2019, The Indian Community School Senior, sculpted out a pedagogic pageant named “Gyanotsav” in the senior school campus. This mega event was a wholesome display of zeal, artistry and expertise of the young talents of ICSK Senior.

Observing the 150th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, the elemental essence of Gyanotsav-2019, was GANDHIAN PRINCIPLES AND ACADEMIA. The Chief Guest for this mega event was the Ambassador of Canada to Kuwait, His Excellency Mr. Louis Pierre Emond. The other special dignitaries were Ms. Roma Khetrapal, the award winning author from Los Angeles and the ex-alumni of ICSK, the esteemed members of the Board of Trustees of ICSK, honorable Chairman Mr. Shaik Abdul Rahiman, honorable Secretary Mr. Azharuddin Amer Mohammed and honorable Joint Secretary Mr. Agnello Antonio Sebastio Fernandes. Mr. R. Ajith Kumar-Principal of United Indian School, Dr. Achutan Madhav- Principal of Jabriya Indian School and Mr. Johnny Kunnil, Mr. Ramesh [CEO, ONCOST] were the other guests. The inaugural ceremony got the ball rolling with the Islamic prayer followed by the Kuwait, Canadian and Indian national anthems by the ICSK Senior school choir, Swaranjali.

Dr. V Binumon, Principal and Senior Administrator of ICSK Senior,, extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest and other notable dignitaries. The mega event was inaugurated by lighting of the lamp by His Excellency Mr. Loius Pierre Emond. Dr. V Binumon, Principal, Mrs. Susan Rajesh Vice Principal and Mrs. Mini Shaji Deputy Vice Principal, ICSK Senior accompanied the Chief Guest to the dais. A video presentation was displayed in the inaugural ceremony highlighting the bilateral relations between India and Canada that left the audience enlightened. His Excellency inspired and motivated the entire crowd while he addressed the gathering. The spectators were left enraptured by the beautiful rendition of song written by team Swaranjali written by Gandhiji.

Ms. Roma Khetrapal, the ex- alumni of ICSK felicitated the gathering. After the exuberant cultural performance by the ICSK Senior tenderfoots, Mrs. Sreekala Dileep, Project Director of Gyanotsav, 2019, delivered the vote of thanks. The stalls in the exhibition were inaugurated by His Excellency, Mr. Louis Pierre Emond. Gyanotsav-2019 was truly an educational extravaganza with the partaking of 29 heterogeneous departments including Mass Media, Liberal Arts, Entrepreneurship and many more that included more than 1100 creations by the child prodigies of ICSK Senior.

The ne plus ultra part of Gyanotsav was the inception of a new area of innovation –“Artificial Intelligence”. ICSK Senior considers it as a privilege to host the introduction of Artificial Intelligence as an incipient in the history of any educational exhibitions in Kuwait.

The wizards of ICSK Senior flaunted their projects, working models and creativity in such a way that the guests, dignitaries and parents were left absolutely spell bound. Abundant exhibits belonging to various departments of English, Science, French, Hindi, Arabic, Painting etc were displayed in various rooms. The guest schools that visited ICSK Senior, were United Indian School, SIMS, ICSK Junior, Integrated Indian School,,,, Indian Educational School etc.Various food stalls set up by the children, lured the people as the aroma of sumptuous delicacies caught the attention of the guests. To acknowledge the vigorous and long hours of hard work put in by all students and teachers, ICSK gave away over 141 prestigious awards and trophies.
