‘Panache – 2019’ Organized in IISM

India International School Mangaf celebrated Children’s Day, ‘PANACHE – 2019’ on 13th and 14th of November arrayed with exuberant fun filled activities to commemorate the birthday of Jawaharlal Nehru - The first prime minister of India. The day commenced by invoking the blessings of the Almighty, followed by the declaration of the opening ceremony by the School Director, Malayil Moosa Koya accompanied by the Principal In charge - Mrs. Sophy John and Vice Principals Mr. Saleem K. and Mrs. Indulekha Suresh.

The cultural segment of the day kicked off with the ice breaking ceremony of the blast of bands – ‘THE LEGACY’. This introduction of school band was embedded gracefully consisting of all the talented musical players of different musical instruments. Indeed, a feather in a cap to the schools’ accomplishments in upholding its tradition.

The two-day package of umpteen enjoyment and fun, enfolded with myriad of activities carried out meticulously for the dear students to cherish the memories in their treasure trove. Clad in their colorful dresses, students looked resplendent.

Teachers from the junior section entertained the students displaying their creative skills in classical dance and ramp walk which left the spectators awestruck. There was hustle-bustle in the school ground as the teachers and students had put up stalls; which requires immense degree of responsibility. Unwavering dedication and accountability was exhibited successfully by our young entrepreneurs.

Students from the Senior section were equally rejuvenated to take part in various inter house competitions. Efforts paid off when the students brought laurels to their respective houses by winning the competitions. Imperial house was eventually proclaimed as the overall champions. Following this, the raffle draw, and the best stall award winners were awarded with surprise gifts. The remarkable day concluded with vote of thanks proposed by CCA in charge Mrs. Feroza.

Sad to note the absence of principal sir Basheer Saheb. When enquired children told me that he has left the school and gone back to India. Why has this school not given him a fitting farewell and why don''t you management guys report that? He has worked for your school Mr. Moosa Koya - don''t forget the principal who has done so much for our children and made so much money for you. All school management directors and chairpersons please honor the principals who served you for years. Paying salary is for the job they do but the honor you give them when they leave is reflection of your character and the kind of management that you guys are. The FAIPs principal left and there was no formal sendoff for that great leader and now she is here to start a school that will challenge number of schools here in Kuwait. Hope my message is clear to all managements who treat educators are "labourers" and remain satisfied by paying salary. Grow up in your thinking about educators.
