A Team of Chartered Accountants from ‘The Institute of Chartered Accounts of India (Kuwait Chapter) addressed the parents and the students of Grade 9 to 12 on the career prospects for the profession - ‘Chartered Accountancy’ (CA) on November 30, 2019, at 10 a.m. in the IES Auditorium.
The objectives of the session were to guide:
•the students aspiring to become Chartered Accountants,
•the students of Grades IX and X in pursuing Commerce as an option for class XI,
•the students of Grades XI and XII in pursuing CA as their professional career.
The session commenced with the team emphasising the importance of the term ‘Success’ and how it plays a pivotal role in grooming one’s overall development. Further the various avenues for a CA, namely being an Entrepreneur, IT Consultant, Financial Advisor, Management Consultant role in public sectors and academics, were discussed.
The session highlighted the Signature Power of CA in tax, forensic, company, foreign currency remittances and other areas in which it is mandatory to get the documents certified by a Chartered Accountant and it also highlighted the additional eligibilities which a CA can avail like appearing in civil services examinations, tie up with IIM for management courses, Ph.D. in certain Indian Universities & IIT’s, Certificate courses and PG courses were explained.
The parents and the students could comprehend in detail the prominence and benefits of pursuing CA by the detailed description and session by Mr. Sriram Gopalakrishnan, the Partner-Audit & Assurance, on the path or entry to become a CA which includes foundation scheme, intermediate examination, article training and final exam. The minimum stipend eligibility and the possibilities to earn while studying were explained in detail to the satisfaction of the parents. He motivated the students and said, “Hard work + Dedication = Chartered Accountant.”
Finally the fee structure, the recognition and need for a CA worldwide were explained in detail. The session served as a source of information for the parents who had many queries and the same were clarified by the experts.
