“#be reassured” campaign to remove bachelors from private residential areas

Acting Head of the Public Relations Department in Kuwait Municipality Muhammad Al-Mutairi has announced the installation of 124 road sign boards in all governorates for the awareness campaign dubbed as “#be reassured”. The campaign is aimed at curbing the phenomenon of bachelors living in private residential areas.

In a press statement, Al-Mutairi affirmed the seriousness of the committee in charge of the phenomenon of bachelors living in private residential areas. He said the concerned teams have completed a survey in cooperation with relevant government bodies, and have taken the necessary legal steps to evacuate houses in violation of law number 125/1992 which prohibits bachelors from living in private houses.

He explained that the “#be reassured” campaign will continue for two months (July and August), indicating it includes several items on raising public awareness about the law which prohibits bachelors from living in family residential areas.

Earlier, the Kuwait Municipality filed 14 warning notices for renting private residential places for bachelors in Rabia, Andalous, Khaitan, Omariya and Firdous.
