Note: When taking insurance, check if the car can be repaired with the agency as the car model is 2017. Some insurance co. agree to get the repair till 3 years and after outside garages. You will get 1 glass change free of cost (without any police report) but the glass will not be original.

Regarding Full insurance, There will be a separate paper for that. transferring full insurance , i don''t know the cost. for transferring the insurance, he might need your civil id copy and you also should go to the insurance office. In this case, he might have tricked you.
For taking full insurance for your vehicle, now you must bring the vehicle to the insurance office I think. Better contact an agent for this. If you give a call, those people will come to your place for evaluation and all (I heard so)
The cost, that depends on the condition of the vehicle as far as i know.
once i talked to an agent and he gave me the below mentioned comments.
after the vehicle inspection, they will calculate from the actual price for the vehicle. and there will be reduction in the amount every year. for example, for my vehicle, first time it was 401 KD. next time they took 351. this year it was 291 (got some reduction for this time renewal).
I think it will be 5% of the actual value of the vehicle model.
Taking full insurance for personal vehicle will be beneficial mostly. after paying 400 kd first time, i was thinking about not renewing the full insurance next year. fortunately i changed my decision on the renewal time and I did the renewal. after 2 weeks, my car got hit in the back side by a kuwaiti guy and with the help of the insurance, the company changed the whole back door and bumper set.
For vehicle transfer from your name to another person, it will cost around 11 KD. 6 kd for transferring the third party insurance and 5 kd stamp from the muroor.

@Hari, Thank you so much for your time and answering to my query.
I really think the previous owner of the car tricked me because he took 36 KD from me for transferring insurance and 5KD for stamp in muroor. He took my civil id copy on the previous day of registration for transferring insurance. I did not go with him. He came to muroor next day to transfer registration.
Now I realize the importance of full insurance as I had to pay a good amount out of my pocket to repair the damages of my car from unknown hit. Do you have any recommendation for any insurance company? or any agents? Can I keep the third party with one insurance company and the full insurance from another? or Does the full insurance cover for the third party as well.

@DJ- I don''t think he tricked you. He was under the impression that he had full insurance while he had only 3rd party insurance. For a new car 3rd party insurance is taken for 3 years- that costs around 57 KD. The 36 KD represents the insurance premium for the remaining period which he has paid and which you will enjoy. You can take full insurance and 3rd party insurance from different insurance companies. 3rd party insurance is a must for renewing the vehicle registration and hence you have to take it even if you take full insurance. Full insurance generally costs around 4% per year of the vehicle value.
