4 Juveniles arrested for throwing water balloons

Ministry of Interior arrested four juveniles on Gulf Street for throwing water balloons at passersby, thus contravening the environmental protection law.

According to sources, violators will be charged upto 500 KD fine as Ministry emphasized zero-tolerance policy towards balloon throwing.

A number of vehicles were also seized in violation of security such as installing large flags behind the vehicle, placing extra fittings on the body of the vehicle, etc and a number of sellers for selling prohibited balloons and water pistols. They were referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal measures against them and impound the vehicles in a traffic detention garage.

The sources underscored strict enforcement of regulations against such behavior. It was made clear that no individual will be permitted to disrupt the ambiance of national festivities.
