Career Counselling at Bhavans SIS

Bhavans Smart Indian School organized a special meeting between the students of grade 8-11 and Mr. Jitin Chawla, Director of Centre for Career Development. This was yet another Career Counselling webinar at SIS on Career Counselling during the academic year 2020-21 ensuring the right kind of help to the student community. This was an advantageous webinar on Career Counselling: Career Choice & Stream Selection by India's TOP Career Counsellor – Mr. Jitin Chawla. The session, on Saturday, 23 January 2021, started at 11:30 am, with a welcome address presented by Athena Abraham, a student from grade 11.

Students grabbed the provision of simple but detailed & scientific career analysis, while allowing themselves in choosing a field that is in tune with their skills and their job expectations. He was focusing on topics such as computational biology, technology-enabled financial solutions, the jobs that will thrive in the future: robot manufacturer and service management, supply chain management, big data and AI scientist, artificial bodies manufacturers and e-sports. In addition, he talked about the important institutions where students could aim at.

He also provided information on 5 years integrated programme in management and its careers options. He did a well-detailed categorisation such as managerial and other related careers, management organisation based careers, biology related careers, technology based careers.

His seminar on this topic gave all the students and parents a sudden realization and understanding. Learning this scenario was a real eye-opener that many jobs got continuously transformed over the years for which less awareness available at hand.

Mr. Mahesh Iyer, Principal of Smart Indian School, thanked Mr. Jitin Chawla for making the young learners understand the way jobs evolved over distinct eras and will be evolving over, and the future jobs too. He appreciated all the students, parents, and the teachers for their presence. The vote of thanks was extended to all by Liam, a student from grade 9. It was undeniably a great session paving the way for a more detailed exploration of career option awareness.
