Indian Education School News : Bhavans IES Celebrated the Republic Day of India Impressively

Bhavans Indian Education School, Kuwait, grandly celebrated the 72nd Republic Day of India on January 26, 2021, cherishing the essence of the tricolor wrapped in patriotic fervor. The celebration consisted of both virtual and non-virtual cultural events organized by the Department of Social Science in association with the Department of Physical Education.

The proceedings of the day rolled on with the prayer song and the recitation of a few verses from the Holy Quran by Mr. Sunil Menon, HoD, Sanskrit and Sahal Ansar of 10B respectively. This was followed by the Kuwait National Anthem. Then the significance of the day was marked by the unfurling of the Indian National Flag in the school premises by Mr. T. Premkumar, Principal, IES, followed by the rendition of the Indian National Anthem. The School Head Girl, Vaishnavi Rajesh Pai, virtually extended a hearty welcome to the august gathering consisting of Mr. N.K. Ramachandran Menon, Chairman, Bhavans Middle East, Mr. T. Premkumar, Principal, IES, Ms. Anselma Tessy Judeson, Vice Principal, Senior Wing, Ms. Meenakshi Nayyar, Vice Principal, Middle Wing, Ms. Lalitha Premkumar, Vice Principal, Kindergarten and Primary Wings, the teachers, the parents, and the students of IES.

Mr. T. Premkumar, Principal, IES, while addressing the virtual and the non- virtual gatherings, extended the Republic Day greetings to the entire Bhavans family and expressed his gratitude to all the leaders whose indomitable spirit and the collective efforts had helped in building ‘One Nation, One Vision, and One Identity’. He also read out the excerpts from the message delivered by the President of India on the eve of the 72nd Republic Day. He wholeheartedly expressed his gratitude to the BSS (Bhavans Service Scheme) cadets, the Department of Physical Education headed by Dr. Murugaiyan Subbarayalu K. Samy and the teaching and non-teaching fraternity of IES for their great display of solidarity and camaraderie. He appreciated the coordinators of the celebration Ms. Ann Bindhya Peter, HoD, Social Science, Middle Wing and Mr. Nagarajan Murugesh, a teacher of the Department of Social Science, for organizing a fantastic Republic Day celebration program which evoked patriotism in every spectator in the online and offline arenas.

Joanna Ann of 4I, Dheeraj Rajesh of 7G, and Neha Hareesh Nair of 8D proudly paraded the spirit of democracy, secularism, and diversity of India through their invigorating speeches. The patriotic song rendered by the students of class 4I resonated the ethos of integrity and unity. The enthusiastic dancer Anagha Suraj of 3D received much deserved appreciation from everyone virtually present for her exuberant dance performance. The spirit of oneness was further echoed in the patriotic song rendered by a group of teachers who sang in unison eulogizing the martyrdom of the many patriots who sacrificed their lives for their country. Jerome John Thomas, the Head Boy of the institution, proposed a vote of thanks and expressed his profound gratitude to everyone who made the celebration a grand success. The whole program was emceed by Niranjana Sankar and Ashwin Sajan Pillai of 9A.

The Republic Day Celebration is yet another occasion that bears testimony to the well-known fact that Bhavanites are the real flag bearers of Indian ethos in the state of Kuwait.
