Illiteracy is a term used for the people who are unable to read and write.

It is very important to spread awareness to the people about education to stop illiteracy from the country. There is a strong tie-up between illiteracy and poverty, poor health, and crime in almost every society.

Why do illiteracy occur?

It occurs because of some reasons:

Lack of school without schooling children are unable to receive mandate and become illiterate. The primary effects of illiteracy is structural unemployment.

As the economy moves more towards knowledge economy illiteracy is a essential skill for individuals and state to complete in the global economy. Social cultural barriers. Illitrate parents/guardians. Lack of awareness and consciousness.

A major stumbling block in the growth and the development of the country.

Effects of illiteracy:

• Illiteracy lowers the rate of technological advancement in the society.

• illitrate may not vote.

• child labour

• Child marriage

• Difficult life

• Poor health

• Criminality

How to prevent illiteracy?

• We have to methodize new special ways, special schools and teachers who have the ability to teach illiterates effectively.

• We have to provide free and compulsory education.

• We have to make a social campaign against Illiteracy.

Illiteracy is the major cause of social issues that are present in the world. Governments and individuals should ensure the they take steps to secure that they restraint illiteracy.
