Yaadein -An Eclipsar of Memories, organised at India International School

On 12th February, the students of Class XI bid a lively and joyful farewell to the outgoing batch of 2024 by organizing "Yaadein - An Eclipsar of Memories." The program was graced by the presence of Director Malayil Moosa Koya, Mr. Hisham, Principal K. V. Indulekha, Vice-Principal Dr. Saleem K., Headmistress Sridevi Neelakannan, and Coordinators Mrs. Najiya Kader, Mrs. Prema Balasubramanyan, and Mr. Shihab Nilgiri.

The anticipation of the juniors eagerly awaiting to greet their seniors with blessings and well-wishes was truly captivating. The red-carpet welcome for the twelfth graders created a dazzling spectacle, setting the stage for the evening's festivities. Following this grand entrance, the twelfth graders gathered for a formal photo session, where joy and laughter filled the air as students posed for photographs, capturing the essence of the occasion. This session served as a poignant reminder to immortalize the shared memories, ensuring that the bonds forged and the joy experienced would be preserved for years to come.

The memorable day began with Ayesha Nashwa reciting the holy Quran, followed by translation by Arwa. Principal K. V. Indulekha then delivered the welcome address, urging the twelfth graders to carry forward the legacy of IISM with pride and dedication. She emphasized the significance of upholding the institution's values, traditions, and excellence. Encouraging the graduating class to become compassionate leaders, change-makers, and ambassadors of the school's ethos, she assured them that the doors of the school will always be open for them to share their experiences. Additionally, she wished them good luck for their forthcoming board exams. The solemnity of the moment was further enriched by blessings from Director Malayil Moosa Koya, who wished the students good luck for their future endeavors. His impassioned expression of hope to see the future students of IISM become global citizens captivated the audience and added a sense of inspiration to the occasion.

The students of Class XI put up a brilliant show and entertained their seniors with foot-tapping musical dance performances, and melodious songs. Speech by the outgoing head girl, Emily Ann Jacob and the head boy, Milan Tiju expressed their gratitude towards their alma mater and mentors who have played a big role in getting them to this point in their lives and a wonderful platform given by the school for their overall development.

The highlight of the program was the dance performances by the outgoing students that enthralled the audience for the last time and added zest to the programme. The games for class XII and a touching presentation by Eric Paul Mathew of Class XI served as the icing on the cake. The pick of the day was the ramp walk performed by the twelfthies who were looking radiant and attractive. Miss and Master IISM titles were conferred upon Miss Aliza Syed and Master Mohammed Zarar by the judges for their confidence and mettle.

The remarkable day culminated with sumptuous lunch and a vote of thanks proposed by outgoing CCA Secretary, Tisya Rajiv, expressing gratitude on behalf of her comrades.

All in all, the farewell ceremony was a successful event, filled with nostalgia, emotions, and joy. It was a fitting end to the student’s journey at school and a stepping stone toward their future endeavors.
