Kuwait Tamil Sangam (KTS) presented a mega musical event for Pongal Vizha & Women’s day celebration, on 8th March 2024 at New Auditorium, FAIPS (Delhi Public School – DPS), Ahmadi.
To mark the celebration KTS organized a musical program with famous personalities from Tamilnadu. The 18 years long KTS journey has added yet another feather on its cap with this mega musical event as its 75th programme.
The event started traditionally with Lighting of Kuthuvilakku followed by Tamil Thai Vaazhthu and National Anthem of Kuwait and India. KTS General Secretary Dr. Sami Venkat welcome the august gathering and thanked all members for their active participation and support for the event. President S. Ramadoss briefed the KTS activities and presented the consolidated report of the events held so far in their tenure 2023-24.
H.E. Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, Dr. Adarsh Swaika graced the occasion by his presence and shared the inaugural address.
The live music concert was performed by “Gopal Sapthaswaram” troupe, along with the Super Singers Mr. Kaushik, Mr. Senbagaraj, Ms. Sushmitha, Ms. Anusha and Mr. Ananth, entertained the audience with the thunder of music.
Well known Indian play back singer Mrs. SP. Sailaja mesmerized the audience with her choice of evergreen songs. The songs chosen and the flow of songs fascinated the crowd and the members of KTS enjoyed thoroughly with nonstop celebration.
As a part of the celebration, special guest famous cine actress Mrs. Abirami spoke on the occasion and shared her memories of celebrating Pongal Festival in various continents of the world. Abirami released a Souvenir on the occasion and the first copy was received by the sponsors and patrons of KTS.
Members of Kuwait Tamil Sangam enjoyed the musical event with full enthusiasm. This is possible only with the help of the sponsors of the event. KTS honored all the sponsors with a shawl and a memento.
The event started at 5:30 PM and the non-stop entertainment ended by presenting a memento to all the celebrities. KTS Treasurer, Mr. Raj Narayanan concluded the evening with his Vote of Thanks, in which he thanked all the sponsors, committee members, volunteers and well-wishers.
As a final event of the evening, delicious dinner packs served by Hotel Saravanaa Bhavan Kuwait.
