India International School Mangaf Holds The Inner Wheel Session For Moms

"A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take." - Cardinal Richelieu

India International School, Mangaf organized the Inner Wheel program for the incredible mothers of the school community on May 9th, 2024 with a captivating title "Marvelous Maidens." Envisioned by Director, Malayil Moosa Koya, the program's theme of "Women's Empowerment" offered a unique platform for mothers to be equipped with valuable tools to navigate life's challenges with confidence. This special evening not only honored the irreplaceable role mothers play as the backbone of the school family, but its innovative approach recently garnered praise at a CBSE Principals' Meeting, being recognized as the ‘Best Practice of the School’ and highlighting IISM's commitment to excellence.

The program's impactful execution reflects the dedication of our Inner Wheel leadership team: Convenor Mrs. Reeja Santhosh, and Joint Convenors Mrs. Dhanya Anish and Mrs. Hafeeza Shahid.

The event was graced by the presence of the Principal, K.V. Indulekha, Headmistress, Sridevi Neelakannan, Coordinator, Prema Balasubramanian (VI-VIII), Coordinator, Najiyah Kader (Kindergarten), esteemed moms, and teachers.

The programme commenced with the recitation of the holy Quran by Mrs. Heba and its translation by Mrs. Bushara. Following this, Mrs. Reeja Santhosh, the convenor, delivered a warm welcome address, expressing gratitude and appreciation to all the esteemed moms for their gracious presence. She highlighted the role of mothers and briefed about the Inner Wheel sessions. Furthermore, she announced future plans, to organize more engaging programmes that are envisaged to bring all the moms of IISM under the canopy of the club. This year's program featured a unique twist – stalls were setup by moms, an opportunity for moms to exhibit their entrepreneurial skills and expertise.

A key highlight of the program was an awareness session by Dr. Rangashree. Focusing on the power of active listening, she equipped mothers with valuable techniques to better understand their children. Empathy, observation, inquiry, patience, and unwavering support were emphasized as key tools for fostering strong parent-child connections. This insightful session undoubtedly resonated with the participating mothers.

The program offered a delightful interlude as Mrs. Asha Shaji, a beloved mom, took the stage to entertain everyone with a song. Her performance undoubtedly added a touch of joy and warmth to the Inner Wheel program.

In a thronged session, Mrs. Thasneem Ansari, an esteemed mom, unveiled insightful cake decorating and baking tricks. She dispensed tips for achieving flawless, mirror-like frosting and shared proven baking strategies, likely including crucial aspects like precise temperature control and accurate ingredient measurement. This informative session empowered attendees to take their baking skills to the next level.

Following this, Mrs. Indulekha, the principal, inaugurated the highlight of the program: the installation of stalls for moms. These stalls offered a vibrant array of products, ranging from a variety of delicious eatables to beautiful abayas, embroidery work, handmade jewelry etc

Special draws set up specifically for moms added to the excitement, with our esteemed moms Mrs. Samia and Mrs. Reema winning the lucky draw for stalls and, a parent-mom, winning the lucky draws.

The momentous occasion concluded with a vote of thanks proposed jointly by the joint convenor Mrs. Hafeeza Shahid and the mom's representative Mrs. Ameera thanking our beloved director, Malayil Moosa Koya for his invaluable support and guidance in organizing this event. They also thanked Principal, K.V Indulekha for being instrumental in conducting the Inner Wheel Session. They also expressed their gratitude to all the moms and the staff for being a part of the programme and making it a memorable one.
