IMA Kuwait’s Ladies Wing Organizes Picnic for Girls

Indian Muslim Association (IMA) Kuwait Ladies Wing organized a fun-filled field trip on May 10, 2024, for its Girls’ Wing known as Pearls of Islam (POI) attending its weekly Islamic classes, in order to provide them a day full of relaxation and joy in a friendly environment.

The picnic began with a boat ride from Salmiya beach, allowing the girls to take in the tranquil surroundings and enjoy the environment, followed by a delicious lunch after disembarking.

They attended a thought-provoking lecture later, on the significance of education in Islam. The girls participated in various activities, including riddles, quizzes, and games. Furthermore, one group of the girls joining the trip from the Abbasiya Zone, visited the Kuwait National Museum to explore the country's rich ancient heritage.

The event provided a positive and engaging environment for the girls to socialize and make new friends as well. Overall, it was a successful and enjoyable outing that offered a much-needed break from the stresses of everyday life. The organizers hope to continue hosting similar events in the future to foster social involvement and create lasting memories for the students.

Pearls of Islam classes are conducted by the Ladies Wing of the Indian Muslim Association every week for girls aged 13 to 23 years, with the aim of building a better understanding of Islam among teenage girls. Classes are held in six areas like Fahaheel, Mangaf, Abuhalifa, Salmiya, Khaitan, and Abbasiya.

The classes mainly focus on courses like Salah, Quran Tafseer, Seerah, Personality Development, Creative Activities, Confidence Building, and Public Speaking.

IMA Kuwait is a renowned socio-religious Association, known for its welfare activities among the Indian community in Kuwait. IMA LW in its latest initiative, introduced to provide quality Islamic education for girls of teen age group between 13 and 23 starting from last couple of years. It offers weekly physical classes as well every Saturday from 9 am to 12 pm in different Zones of Kuwait.

Many students from Indian diaspora in Kuwait, had enrolled for this weekend Islamic Classes. Currently the registration is open for the new academic year 2024-2025.
