‘Leaders are not born, they are made’: Investiture Ceremony at NIS

Investiture ceremony is one of the most important events of the school. The ceremony reminds us of the trust and confidence that the school repose in the newly elected leaders. This ceremony marks a significant milestone, not only in the lives of those being invested but also in the collective journey of the school. It was a great day for New Indian School, the 16th of May 2024 which marked the investiture ceremony of the newly elected school council and the prefectorial board. The ceremony was graced by the benign presence of the Chief Guests, Ms. Anoud Mubarak Abdullah A Maatouq, Admin and Academic Supervisor for all Non- Arabic schools of Aljeri Holding Group, Mr. Ahmad Abdel Maboudh, Finance Manager of Aljeri Holding Group, Principal of NIS, Ms. Anita Sadanand and the Vice Principal, Ms. Jeya Ananthi.

The ceremony commenced with the recital of a verse from the Holy Quran followed by the Prayer song and the Kuwait National Anthem. Reverberating the venue with an extravaganza of Indian and Arabic fushion dance, the senior students put their best foot forward. The august gathering was welcomed by Srihari, student of Grade X and explicated the importance of conducting investiture.

The newly elected leaders of the school council came in a ceremonial march, down the aisle with great confidence and excitement. Instilling in them the duties and responsibilities of a leader, the Chief Guests, Ms. Anoud Mubarak Abdullah A Maatouq and Mr. Ahmad Abdel Maboudh along with the Principal, Ms. Anita Sadanand, adorned the sashes and pinned the badges. The Oath- Taking Ceremony was solemnly administered by the principal, Ms. Anita Sadanad. The newly elected Student council were brimming with confidence to shoulder their newly assigned duties and pledged to carry out their responsibilities with utmost integrity and diligence.

The ceremony took its momentum with an inspiring speech delivered by the distinguished guest Ms. Anoud Mubarak Abdullah A Maatouq and exhorted the newly elected leaders to be the guiding stars of the school. In their speeches, Jamin Ahmed, the head boy and Bhama Sameer, the head girl, assured of their whole- hearted co-operation to the responsibilities entrusted upon them. The scholars and proficient from Grade I- IX were pinned the badges as a token of appreciation for their good conduct and hard work in studies. The gold medalist of the National Math Olympiad, Inaya Suresh of Grade IV was honored by the dignitaries.

The grand event culminated with a vote of thanks by Waniya, student of Grade VIII followed by the unison recital of the Indian National Anthem.
