The scientific centre was built by Kuwait foundation For Advancement Science (KFAS) presented by Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in 1992. The Architectural complex is designed with pouring water falls at the entrance, that makes one feel chill, as the breeze flows across. A swift drive leads to the vast car parking space to land your car. At the threshold, a huge crowd of varied groups of all age gets in to get entertained. Few people enjoying their evening walk, some with cycling, and still more sitting near sea side to admire the nature’s beauty. The date palm trees scattered in the green areas, still maintaining cleanliness, needs appreciation.

At the entrance inside, you find the reception and the ticket counter. Various stalls scattered at a space interval, school pupil charts hanging over to claiming to protect nature, you get a great holiday feel here.

Models of - A shark with its mouth open , A Satellite launch on space, A Dhow- ships used in the past, and Few colorful horses, were kept. Display of puzzle games with images of fossils, and literature regarding them enhances the beauty of the place.

The Scientific Centre provides distinguished entertainment. It is equipped with a Giant screen IMAX theatre, An Exhibit room Discovery place with interactive activities on invented scientific machines, Few Model of Dhow, model of Fateh-El-Khair set in the Harbour and A Massive Aquarium with desert, Coastal, Marine animals, with robot zoo bids a genial welcome to have merry and spend an enjoyable time.

Scientific Centre reflects an uncommon approach in attracting the public with its renovations / changes done timely, never to disappoint its frequent visitors either

IMax – 3D Theatre:

An educational & documentary film shown with 3Deffect and has 8000watts sound system equipped and 35mm screen . New pictures and contributing scenarios triggers a visual treat in the Imax -3D theatre .
