Babu Francis, former ONCP President and Indian expatriate from Kerala state, has been appointed National Convener of the Overseas Cell NCP - India. After visiting NCP national president Sharad Pawar MP, national general secretary Praful Patel MP, NCP Lok Sabha leader Smt. Supriya Sule MP and national general secretaries TP. Peetambaran Master, SR Kohli and KK Sharma, he went to NCP headquarters at New Delhi office and took charge.

He has been the representative from Kuwait in the NORKA-Loka Kerala Sabha for year up to 2021 Babu Francis is an expatriate Malayalee who was appointed to the national leadership of the NCP after the death of the late former minister and Kerala state NCP president Thomas Chandy.

ONCP Kuwait Chapter president Jeeves Erinjeri and general secretary Arul Raj KV said in a press release that the new assignment was in recognition of the various services of Babu Francis doing for Indian expatriates globally
