Deputy Foreign Minister of Kuwait Khalid Sulaiman Al-Jarallah attends the Republic day reception hosted by Indian Ambassador to Kuwait Sri K Jeeva Sagar at the Millennium hotel here to mark India's 71st Republic Day. The event was inaugurated by ceremonial cake cutting by Minister Khalid Sulaiman Al-Jarallah, Ambassador K Jeeva Sagar along with Pravasi Bharatiya Samman awardee Sri Rajpal Tyagi.
The Republic Day reception was attended by large number of Ambassadors of various countries, several Kuwaiti officials, diplomats and dignitaries along with the community leaders and business personalities.
The event begins with rendering of Kuwait and Indian National Anthem by Master Rohit followed by brief address by Ambassador K Jeeva Sagar. "We have many real life heroes and heroins among our community here today. They have contributed for the development of our friendly country in many fields. I took this opportunity to salute all these Indian community members", Ambassador Jeeva Sagar said. A brief cultural performance by the members of Kuwait Kannada Koota and dance performance by Ms Manju Sibi entertained the guests.
Earlier in the morning, a flag hosting ceremony was held at the Indian Embassy premise which was attended by large number of Indian community.
