KANA Kuwait organized 3rd Thoppil Bhasi Drama Competition

‘Avasanathey Savappetti ‘ Best Drama, Rejoy Best Actor

Kerala Arts and Nadaka Academy- KANA Kuwait organized the 3rd Thoppil Bhasi drama competition on 25th October at Indian Community School Khaitan. Five teams from Kuwait participated in the competition and it was a treat for those who love stage experiments and theater arts.

‘Avasanathey Savappetti ‘ staged by Bell & John Stage Arts bagged the best drama award. ‘Avasanathey Savappetti’ also bagged Best Director ( Bijoy Palakunnel) & Best Child Artist (Diya Shiby) awards.

Nirosh Theatre’s “ Anatharam Aval “ selected as the 2nd Best Drama .

Sunil Cherian was selected as the best script writer for his work Adhikarikkunnu, staged by Mareena Moving Arts.

Best Actor – Rejoy Varghese – ( Adhikarikkunnu by Mareena Moving Arts )

Best Actress – Miss. Aby Thomas ( Veli - by Chilampoli Kuwait )

Male artist Ramesh Dakshina from the drama “Thulasil Oru Thoolika’-by Yuvasahithya-Kuwait got special mention for his performance from the jury.

Earlier, the Unimoni Marketing Head Mr.Renjith S. Pillai inaugurated the event. Famous theater director from Kerala Mr.Rajesh Erulam delivered the main speech in the event. He remembered Thoppil Bhasi, the legend of Malayalam theater and his contributions to the literature and culture. Punnoose Ancheril , president of KANA, chaired the function. Kalarshri Babu Chackola-the patron of KANA, Mr. Sajeev K Peter- convener of the event, General Secretary Jiju Kalayil & Treasure Aji Paravoor addressed the gathering.
