Kuwait ban travel to Iraq through Abdali

Upon instructions from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of the Interior issued a directive to ban travel to Iraq through the Abdali border crossing, Al-Anba daily reported.

The directive says the ban will continue until further notice and until the conditions in Iraq improve. The directive added, this is done in the best interests and safety of the people.

The Abdali border crossing is limited to the transportation of trucks and drivers, pointing out that all trucks coming from Iraq are subject to strict scrutiny through advanced technology to prohibit smuggling of forbidden substances.
