Kuwait state-run news agency’s Twitter account hacked, posted false story on US troops withdrawing from nation

The Kuwait government denies the news of the American withdrawal from Camp Arifjan, sent through state news agency twitter account.

According to the government spokesman, Kuwait says state-run KUNA news agency’s Twitter account hacked, posted false story on US troops withdrawing from nation.

"(KUNA) categorically denies reports it broadcast statements by Defense Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Mansour about withdrawal of US forces from Kuwait." State News agency tweeted.

Earlier a post on KUNA reported that Kuwait defense minister has announced that his country received an official letter from commander of camp Arifjan in Kuwait declaring imminent withdrawal of all US forces in 3 days according.
