Shops in Kuwait removed Christmas decorations

Several shops in Kuwait removed Christmas decorations from their premises. Sources said that these shops received instructions from authorities to remove Christmas decorations.

According to sources, expatriate community and shopkeepers were puzzled by the move as this bought an end to the festive atmosphere during the season.

Many of the shops, which adorned the places with festive lights, ornaments, and Christmas trees, received verbal instructions from the authorities to remove the decorations, sources said.
