The Institution of Engineers (India), Kuwait Chapter hosted its Science Club and Ladies Wing events in 2 parts - Science Innovation Program -2019 and ‘Urban Gardening’ on 27th December 2019 at IGNOU Education center, Kuwait.
The Event witnessed an intellectual gathering and enthusiastic participation of good number of members/engineers, guests and Sr Professionals.
Eminent Scientist, KISR, Dr. S.Neelamani spoke on the ocean Engineering and its support to mankind and the effects of Global warming and briefed how each one can contribute positively to mitigate the effects of rising Pollution all around.

Engr Inbatamizh Ilangovan observed that It was a good event with ecstatic memories of old IEI science club members who left after school and cherished the re-union of their friends and theire presentations . He noted IEI science club activities should be continued to keep our young members engaged in STEM. The tradition of giving back to the society with empathy should be encouraged keeping our IEI MOTTO “SERVICE TO MANKIND”
Ms. Fahima Ahmed presentation on ‘Urban Gardening’ to Ladies Wing was impressive sharing the various techniques of indoor and outdoor gardening in urban house holds including apartments and its overall health benefits
Sr Member Engr Sivannarayana Edupuganti,FIE, EC Member & PR Incharge observed that the Ladies wing venue was nicely presented with various plants and reflected a nice garden which is the perfect place to learn about patience, hope and responsibility and hoped that the ecofriendly event ‘d inspire many a urbanite to maintain / enhance household gardening for better quality of living.
Science Club speakers were introduced by Eng Hirak Kuamr Mitra while Ladies wing speakers were introduced by Engr Anu Kurian.
Joseph Panicker ,Past Chairman, IEI KC who conceived and initiated the event was appreciated by one all, for his deep interest and insight.
Engr Sam Ananth, Treasurer has appreciated that program is very interesting and beneficial for all.
Committee Member Eng Vinayagamoorty ,Engr Shankar, Engr Ramana who supported the well event were appreciated well.
All the presenters Dr Andrew Panicker, Anjula Mary Antonis, Ann Mary Antonis, Sambhav Jain, Sidhant Jain, Hanshika Jain were presented with appreciation certificates.
The Science club members E Chaitanya Sri, Mary Antonis,Sif Enshika Sam, Aidan Shobin,Angelina Shobin,Varsha Bahirathan ,Monisaha Bahirathan ,Anikhil Jyothish,Snigdha were presented with gifts by Dr Neelamani, Engr Josef Panicker , Engr Mitra,H K Engr I Ilangovan.
Vote of Thanks were given by Dr S Neelamani
