Thrissur Association of Kuwait ( TRASSK) celebrated its 13th anniversary, Mahotsavam 2019, on Friday 1st November 2019 from at Sheikh Sabah Al Salem Theatre, Khaldiya. His Excellency Sheikh Douaig Khalifa Al Sabah, family member of the Honourable Amir of the State of Kuwait and the consultant of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Europe Affairs Department inaugurated the function by lighting traditional lamp. Well known Oncologist and the patron of Cochin Cancer Society Dr V.P.Gangadharan and his wife Dr.K.Chithrathara,a reputed Oncology Surgeon and the first lady urologist of Kerala were the Guest of Honour.
Mr Sibi U.S, honourable Second Secretary from Indian Embassy, Kuwait graced the function with his presence.
Mr John Simon, Marketing Manager, Almulla Exchange Group ( Annual Sponsor) and Mr. Nithin Raj, Manager, Rasi tours and travels ( Co-Sponsor) delivered the felicitation address.
Programme Convenor Mrs Jisha Rajiv welcomed the gathering and Treasurer Mr Gopakumar expressed vote of thanks at the event presided by Mr Manikuttan Edakkatt ( President, TRASSK).
General secretary Mr Sibi Puthusserry explained the activities of the association. Vanithavedhi Convenor Dr Jameela Kareem and Kalikkalam Convenor Master Ramees Mohammed offered felicitations. Mrs Neena Udayan(vanithavedhi secretary), Joint secretaries Mr Shiju Poulose,Mr Salesh Paul,Mr Rajesh Kallayil,Mr Sukumaran T, Mrs Prabitha Sijo(vanithavedhi joint secretary) co ordinated the event. Children of association members who excelled in 10th and 12th examination were honoured at the event with mementos and cash awards.
TRASSK celebrated this joyous day showcasing traditional and cultural art forms of Kerala. The audience enjoyed the musical extravaganza led by South Indian playback singers and artists Vidhu Prathap, Anwar Sadath,Nayana Nair, Soumya Rinto, Rajesh Cherthala,P.K.Sunilkumar,Rajeesh supported by the orchestra team from Kerala.
Mahotsavam 2019 was well received by the community and appreciated by the entire people gathered there.The celebration was memorable with the presence of the eminent personalities of social, cultural, economic and commercial field of Kuwait.
