ICS Presents "Taal-Se-Taal" with Alka Yagnik

Indian Cultural Society (ICS) presented "Taal se Taal" with ALKA YAGNIK on 11th December, Friday at American International School from 7.30 pm onwards. The Chief Guest of the day was H.E. Ajai Malhotra Ambassador of India and Guests of honor were renowned personalities from Kuwait.

Indian Cultural Society under the president ship of Ashfaque Ahmed Khan is registered organization with the Indian Embassy has many feathers in its cap. ICS has organized health camp & medical assistance, provided educational opportunities, created a help desk for jobs, regularly sends timely tips for health to its members, organizes programs in Urdu and Hindi, and supports other association for noble cause. Also campaigns for frequent airline services to India and many more activities.

The program started with formal welcome by the President and anchor of the day Ashfaque Ahmed Khan along with National anthems of Kuwait and India. H.E. Ajai Malhotra Ambassador of India released the souvenir and spoke few words. The entertainment part started with few dances from local artists and song by Baby Safa Khan. Saral Roshan sung some hit solo songs of different singers which followed by a grand entry of Alka Yagnik who ruled the Bollywood music word since last three decade. She mesmerized the audience till the end with her beautiful voice. She interacted with the audience with her fluent talks, humor and songs. She sung her best solo selections and also duets along with Saral Roshan.

ICS previously hosted memorable events such as Suroon- Ki-Shaam, Shaam- e-Ghazal, Geet & Ghazal Nite, Mehefil-e-Mushayara, Music Nite, Shab- e-Meraj, Dancing Divas and many more which now presented “TAAL-SE-TAAL” WITH ALKA YAGNIK. Many National Film Awards winner Alka Yagnik herself is an institution of singing. She has sung thousands of songs that became hit and are mesmerized by all age groups. She has a big list of award & rewards. She received the Film fare award for Best Female Playback Singer for three consecutive years from 1999-2001. Also Best Female Playback Singer (1994) for Ghoonghat… Ki……. Aad Se… (Film Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke ), Best Female Playback (1999) for Kuch Kuch Hota Hai... (Film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai), Kaho Naa... Pyaar... Hay (2001), Tumhi Dekho Naa… (Film Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna). She got Star screen award for the song "Dil Ne Ye Kaha Hai Dil...Se..." & "Paanchi Nadiyaan". International Indian Film Academy crowned her for the song "Taal se Taal Milaoo" (2000). Ring… ring….ringa (film- Slumdog Millionaire) & Bakhuda…. tumhi...ho (film- Kismat Connection) both are the super hit songs of the year.

The program was well compered by Ashfaque Ahmed Khan along with rib tickling humorous jokes and comedy shayeries. The event was coordinated by Niraj Mishra. Music was provided by “Sunny Melodies” under the direction of Derrick Alexander.
