5 days off likely for National and Liberation Day

The official holidays for the National Day and Liberation Day of Kuwait will fall on Monday, Feb 25 and Tuesday, Feb 26 respectively.

According to local Arabic daily Al-Anba, the Cabinet is responsible for taking a decision on Article 82 of the Civil Service System concerning declaring Sunday, Feb 24 as a holiday or not, as it falls
between Saturday, Feb 23 (weekend) and Monday, Feb 25 (an official holiday). If such a decision is taken, the holidays will be for five days from Friday, Feb 22 to Tuesday, Feb 26.
