Sunshine 2019- summer camp 2019 of The Indian Community School Kuwait

”SUNSHINE2019” summer camp 2019 of The Indian Community School Kuwait was inaugurated on 30th May 2019 in the ICSK Senior school auditorium. The Chief Guest for the day was Dr. Diwakara Chaluvaiah, Consultant Radiologist Royal Hayat Hospital, Kuwait. Dr. Diwakara is the founder executive member of IDF. He completed his MBBS DMRD from Mysore University and DNB radiology from CMC Vellore. Dr. V. Binumon, Principal & Senior Administrator, ICSK Senior, Dr. Sam Kuruvilla, Vice-Principal, and Deputy Vice Principal, ICSK Senior also graced the occasion.

The much awaited inauguration of the summer camp was begun with the Islamic prayer by Master. Samad followed by the prayer song by the school music band Swaranjali. The Kuwait and Indian national anthems were also sung by the choir. Mrs. Rajam coordinator of the Sunshine2019 whole heartedly welcomed the distinguished guests. She emphasized that the team Sunshine would do their best to see that the campers enjoy themselves as well as learn new skills from the camp trainers and the eminent resource persons from various fields. To remove the darkness of ignorance, the chief guest Dr. Diwakara lighted the lamp as he was accompanied by the ICSK Senior, Principal and Senior Administrator Dr. V Binumon.

The school children showcased a mesmerizing inaugural dance performance that left the gathering tapping their foot. The chief guest Dr. Diwakara addressed the gathering and declared the summer camp open. The Principal Dr. V. Binumon presented the chief guest with a memento as a token of appreciation and gratitude. The audience kept their eyes glued on to the stage as the dance team sunshine exhibited yet another dance performance making the audience hold their breath.
The inaugural ceremony reached its culmination with the vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Sabiha Altaf, co-coordinator of the summer camp.

The Sunshine summer camp 2019 is for two months. The first camp is from 30th May 2019 to 1st July. The second camp is from 2nd July to 1st August. The objective of the camp is to train the campers in various activities like Zumba, Music, Yoga, Public Speaking skill. Value Education, Culinary, Badminton, Table tennis, Bollywood dance, Personality development, Health Awareness, Skating, Basketball, Art and Craft, Educational field and fun trips.

On popular demand the registrations of the camp are still open at the venue. Students can avail a discount if they join both the camps together.
