Indian Business and Professional Council formed new Committee: Anant Kapadiya elected as new Chairman

Prominent Community member Anant Kapadiya elected as the new Chairman of Indian Business and Professional Council (IBPC) Kuwait. In the General Body meeting held on Tuesday, 11th June 2019 at Costa Del Sol Hotel, the new committee was elected as Mr. Anant Kapadia - Chairman , Mr. Gurvinder Singh (Choji) Lamba as Vice-Chairman, Mr. Deepak Agarwal as Secretary, Mr. Soly Mathew as Joint Secretary and Mr. Kaizar Shakir as Treasurer.

The outgoing Chairman Mr. Shivy Bhasin presided over the proceedings. Known for his wit and spontaneity, he recalled his experience being the Chairman of the Council and thanked the office bearers and members for their over-whelming support and cooperation during his tenure. This was followed by the announcement of the election results for the post of Vice-Chairman, Joint Secretary and Treasurer.

Earlier Mr. Anant Kapadia welcomed the members and reminisced the events conducted by IBPC during the past two years. Mr. Soly Mathew, outgoing Treasurer tabled the Audited Financial Statements for the year 2017 and 2018. Large number of IBPC members attended the meeting. Recital of euphonious melodies, poetic renditions and stand up comedy performed by members in addition to guest artists mesmerized the audience. Mr. Choji Lamba proposed vote of thanks.

IBPC Kuwait has more than 150 members. It aims at providing opportunities for Indian businessmen and professionals to develop business and/or professional activities in Kuwait / India, promote trade and investment, promote building relations between Kuwait and India organizing meetings, seminars, functions, cultural events and activities which in the Council’s opinion benefit the Indian business and/or professional community of Kuwait at large.
