Mata-E-Fikr by Kuwait based Maimuna Chougle gets Urdu Sahitya Academy Award

Maimuna Ali Chougle, a renowned Urdu writer and critic, a resident of Kuwait, current President of the Writers Forum, Kuwait (WFK) earned the most prestigious literary award from Maharashtra State Urdu Sahitya Academy for her book Mata e Fikr (wealth of my knowledge). This recognition of her work in the field of Urdu literature is not only a feather in her cap but is a great honour to the Writers Forum, Kuwait.

Mata-e-Fikr is the third book written by Maimuna. It comprises of 21 articles on Urdu writers and poets from different fields and places. This book gives an excellent and in depth exposure about the writers and poets covered by it. As a matter of fact, this book is beautiful bouquet of different colours and fragrances. Following writers and poets are included in this book:

Al-Ahmed Suroor, Ali Sardar Zafri, Asmat Chugtai, Amrita Pritam, Mujtaba Hussain, Zahida Hina, Gulzar, Saleh Zawad Musa, Sahir Shiwee, Akhtar Rahi, Aslam Imadi (Kuwait), Sahid Hinae, Sharf Kamali, Sabir Badr Jaffrey(2), Nadir Khan Sarguru, Yaqub Rahi, Mahmood Shahid, Parveen Sheer (Canada), Niyaz Jairajpuri and Nazir Fatehpuri

Mata-e-Fikr was released in Kuwait at the platform of the Writers Forum, Kuwait on November 24, 2017. Writers Forum, Kuwait is a literary organization in Kuwait which includes Indian poets, writers and literati who are residents of Kuwait. WFK released its first book Navratna of nine Indian languages. This is a unique book of its kind. WFK welcomes all Indians of different Indian languages, regions and religions. WFK is probably the only organization in the world which has members of so many Indian languages. Ms. Maimuna Ali Chougle is a highly successful President of such an unique organization. First two books written by Maimuna are Kuchh Zikr Kuchh Fikr ( some thoughts some discussions) and Fikr o Nazar (A thoughtful analysis) were also released on the platform of WFK.

Maimuna humbly and shyly gives the credit of her success to her family members - her husband Ali Chougle, daughter Dr. Rubina Ali Chougle, Son Nadeem Ali Chougle and younger daughter Dr. Annie Ali Chougle for their love, affection, cooperation and support.
