Fahaheel Al-Watanieh Indian Private School (FAIPS) Won the IIT-IIM 6th Annual Kuwait Open Quiz Q8OQ-2019’

Students of Fahaheel Al-Watanieh Indian Private School (FAIPS), Ahmadi, once again asserted their dominance in the Kuwait quizzing circuit by winning the coveted ‘IIT-IIM 6th Annual Kuwait Open Quiz Q8OQ - 2019’ held on 15th November 2019 in Cambridge English School, Mangaf.

The winning team comprising Aaron John Thomas, Tarun Sunil M and Kurien Thomas M, took on the challenge of established adult quizzers and won by a huge margin with an amazing performance that earned plaudits from India’s renowned quiz master, Mr Giri Balasubramanyam (PickBrain). FAIPS students achieved this feat for the third year in running, retaining their title of IITIIM Overall Open Quiz Trophy and the Best School Team Trophy.

Out of 500 participants in the preliminary round, 2 teams from FAIPS made it to the final round of 6 teams, after going through a grueling Pre-Final elimination round.The team comprising Shawn Shiby George, Rohan Raju, Shaun Thomas received the 2nd Runner Up Trophy under the school category.

Answering questions ranging across all subjects, much beyond the level of school curriculum, the FAIPS team enthralled the audience with their knowledge, intelligence and lateral thinking abilities. For nearly two decades, the school has been on a winning path. The continued success story has been made possible due to the combined efforts of FAIPS fraternity under the able guidance of the Principal, Mr Ravi Ayanoli.
