9 Chinese passengers denied entry at Kuwait airport

Nine Chinese passengers who arrived at the Kuwait International Airport from Hong Kong were returned to their country after detecting symptoms of coronavirus infection, local Arabic newspaper Al-Seyassah reported quoting Head of the Directorate General for Civil Aviation labor syndicate Jaber Al-Azmi.

According to daily, the decision to return them was taken after they were subjected to repeated tests by Ministry of Health, which revealed the existence of symptoms of the virus.

Meanwhile, Kuwait Cabinet has reassured the public about the nonexistence of coronavirus in the country, and affirming that necessary measures have been taken to counter any possibilities of the spread of the virus.


Update:

According to latest report, officials clarified that the nine passengers are banned from entering the country due to visa related reason and not because of any infection. More details awaited...
