IDYM Ignites Scientific Spark in Bhavanites

Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, 26 January 2020: IDYM Foundation (Govt of India, Reg No.049148) organized a two -day online interactive space exploration progam for grade 10 and 11 students of IES Kuwait, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. via MS Teams on 25, 26 January 2020. The program commenced with the national anthems of India and Kuwait. Miss Deenul Asmi, Brand Ambassador IDYM Foundation delivered the welcome speech. Dr, Pramod Mahajan, Principal/School Director, Sharjah Indian School, Sharjah, UAE addressed the virtual gathering and elaborated on the concepts of teleportation, cosmic speed limit and time dilation. He urged the budding scientists to think beyond and explore the x factor of knowledge. Er.Ravishankar Kumar, Founder of IDYM was the host of the show.

Er.Swapnil Talukdar, a scientist from NASA handled a brief but a very informative session on ‘Exploring Space Beyond’ highlighting the present, past and future of space exploration. Er.Ratnesh Mishra, a young IITian encouraged the students to build a satellite in future by sharing his own life experience of launching PRATHAM- The First Student Satellite, IIT-B. With true scientific fervour, the young engineer detailed his dream of touching the sky. Er.Yash Sanghvi, another IITian continued with ‘Behind the success stories of PRATHAM.’ Furthermore, he unfolded the limitless opportunities of space exploration.

The students and teachers of IES actively participated in the interactive session. The young speakers were keen to clarify the doubts raised by the attendees. Mrs.Jeenath Munawara proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Anselma Tessy, Vice Principal, IES appreciated the efforts of IDYM members for the wonderful two-day session. She thanked them for patiently answering the queries raised by the students. Ms. Asha Ebey, HoD, Computer Science IES shared the closing thoughts with the audience. On behalf of Mr. T Premkumar, principal, IES, Ms Asha appreciated Team IDYM for their time and effort in guiding the students and sharing their area of expertise with the young scientists in the making.
