Court reject lawsuit for suspension of curfew; called on authorities to review curfew hours

Kuwait court today rejected a lawsuit calling for the suspension of the government’s decision to implement the partial curfew. However the court called on authorities to review the curfew hours and activities which are suspended, in order to ensure a fair balance between the public interest and the safety of society.

The complainant, in his lawsuit, said that due to the ineffectiveness of the decision and losses that are ought to happen, he demands that the decision to implement partial curfew be halted until the merits are decided.

While rejecting the lawsuit, the court also called for reviewing the restrictions imposed on the travel of citizens and residents.
