Holi also known as festival of colors is one of the important Hindu festivals in India which celebrated every year during March. People believe Holi is celebrated to cherish the love of sri Krishna and Radha while some people celebrate Holi of victory over evil and also tells people to remain in harmony and peace. It is celebrated by great enthusiasm and happiness. Holi is celebrated three days; the first day is Holi Purnima, the second day is choti Holi and the third day is the day of Holi celebration. Children wait for this to play with natural colors and watercolor guns. People make delicious sweets especially made of khoya and mawa like pedas, kalakand and gajar ka halwa and also make a special sweet drink known as lassi with pistachio and saffron in it. People also go to other people’s houses to exchange gifts and apply color on their faces. Holi is also celebrated in different parts of the world. It is also a chance for people to forgive each other and improve their relations. All people become a part of this celebration and enjoy to the fullest. I wish all the people over the world a very “Happy Holi” and everyone to stay safe and healthy.
