“MECstudygroup is going to provide the age group cricketers of Under 16 and Under 19 with up to 50% sports scholarship on Universities and will focus on promoting the grass root level of cricket in Kuwait….furthermore MECstudygroup will provide KC registered students who are planning to study in United Kingdom to apply for university with 5-6 IGCSE’s or 60% in the local board that includes Kuwaitis and non Kuwaitis with fees starting from as low as 3000 Kuwaiti dinars… “ said Muizz Mirza – CEO at MECstudygroup.

“MECstudygroup will assist Kuwait Cricket in having close ties with all such universities in the ???? ???? so U19 players of Kuwait who have potential to play for the national team in the future can continue to train at the highest level whilst abroad and Kuwait Cricket will also provide support in signing up the Kuwait U19 students with local clubs and or counties (based on talent and past international performance) so they are able to gain the ultimate international exposure which we are hopeful will help them return as better and stronger players for Kuwait.....” said Sajid Mohammad Ashraf - Director General of Kuwait Cricket

“Growing grass root level of cricket is obviously one of the key targets for Kuwait Cricket….however it’s the involvement and participation of local Kuwaiti youth that will be a real game changer because until or unless we involve more of the national youth – cricket will struggle to reach it’s ultimate pinnacle in the state of Kuwait….and as MECstudygroup deals with the Kuwaiti students in providing students qualifying for scholarships with the government…this is a much required strategic partnership for Kuwait Cricket.....we have set together plenty of strategic goals for the future, which is bound to bring our beloved nation plenty of success…Ever since my playing days in the early 2000’s where I captained the Kuwait national side, it has been a dream to see more Kuwaitis come into cricket and this is a great opportunity to achieve just that…..” said Faisal Abdul Rehman Ahmed Al Marzouk – Vice President of Kuwait Cricket

Moving forward, the President of Kuwait Cricket Mr. Haider Abbas Farman, a renowned figure in the world of international sports holding several significant positions of Directorship at the Olympic Council of Asia and the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) has announced that after the curfew situation and other restrictions normalize in the state of Kuwait, Kuwait Cricket will organize a press conference with MECstudygroup where Kuwait news channels and leading social media channels along with the national teams of U19 & U16 will be invited to the Kuwait Olympic Committee headquarters where the ongoing progress and the details of the 2021-22 plan will be shared.
