Kuwait reports 1,403 new COVID-19 cases, eight deaths on Tuesday

Kuwait said that 1,403 people tested positive for coronavirus while eight related deaths were reported on Tuesday, taking the total up to 239,952 and 1,373, respectively, according to the health ministry.

Another 1,432 people were cured of the virus, raising the total of those to have overcome the disease to 224,701, ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad told KUNA.

The number of people hospitalized with the virus currently stands at 13,878, with 216 of them in intensive care units, he added, revealing that some 10,095 swab tests were conducted over the last day out of a total of 2,111,043.

He went on to urge nationals and expatriates alike that abiding by health precautions, mainly, following social distancing rules, is the only way to halt the spread of the virus.
