Council of Ministers allow Taraweeh prayers for men for 15 minutes in Ramadan

The Council of Ministers today decided to allow Taraweeh prayers for men for 15 minutes only, while adhering to the precautionary requirements currently in force in mosques, from Tuesday, the first day of holy month of Ramadan. Mosques will be closed after each prayer and holding lectures are banned.

Government spokesman Tariq Al-Muzrim added that the council also decided to prevent setting up of breakfast and sahour tables in mosques and public or private places. Distributing meals without gathering are only allowed.

Until the 22nd of this month taking all precautions the restaurants will be allowed to deliver from 7 pm to 3 am. Walking is permitted from the start of curfew till 10 pm inside residential areas only and no use of vehicles is permitted.
