Current situation doesn't require full curfew in the country

The current situation in the country doesn't require a complete curfew, the head of the Supreme Advisory Committee for the Coronavirus Pandemic, Dr. Khaled Al-Jarallah said.

With the partial curfew, there is a stability in clinical occupancy rate and critical cases in the country, he said.

According to him, the infection is higher in investment housing areas, where a majority of expatriates are living. 65% of the infected are expatriates, he said.

As it is a known fact that there is a shortage in the supply of the vaccine globally, Kuwait is diligent in securing vaccines for all, including groups that may be included in the future - under the age of 16 - and booster doses if necessary, he said.
