Former Kuwait based Indian among the six killed in Zimbabwe private plane crash

Vishwanath Pichumoney, former Deputy Group CFO of KGL group in Kuwait reportedly died in a private plane crash in Zimbabwe. Vishwanath was working in Kuwait as the CFO of KGL group and left Kuwait for good. He was staying in Hyderabad in India.

Vishwanath was on a temporary assignment in Harare. He, along with five others were on the way to Murowa Diamonds Mine in Zvishavane from Harare in a Cessna 206 plane owned by diamond miner Rio Zim.

The private plane, believed to be owned by Rio Zimbabwe Company, is suspected to have developed a technical problem before crashing around 8am, killing all passengers and crew on board.

Vishwanath left behind his wife and famous Carnatic musician Ms Malini Viswanath, who is also the founder and director of Raag N'Rhythm in Kuwait. Their daughter Raghavi Viswanath is studying in Netherlands and son Raghava.
