IDAK Conducts Art & Craft Exhibition Along With Meet & Greet. 2024

The Indian Dentists' Alliance in Kuwait (IDAK) conducted first ever IDAK Arts and Crafts Exhibition, aptly named iACE'24 along with IDAK Meet and Greet 2024 on 2nd February 2024 at the scenic setting of Royal Tent in Hotel Safir, Fintas.

iACE'24 was inaugrated by noted theatre personality and award winning director Mr. Shemej Kumar K K, with an instant art work. The exhibition was a collection of the scintillating art and craft works by IDAK members. The audience was mesmerised by the quality of artistry in display by dental surgeons. The exhibition organised by the Cultural Committee headed by Dr. Aysha John was widely appreciated. More than 45 art works done by 10 doctors were exhibited and they were done in different mediums on a wide range of themes.

IDAK Meet and Greet is conducted once in two years to introduce the newly chosen committee members and to act as a platform to introduce the new members to the organisation. During this event the new Council also enumerates the events planned for the two years ahead.

IDAK President Dr. George P Alex, during his Presidential address said he was happy that gender parity was achieved in the IDAK organisational framework and called upon the members to come forward and take active participation in the activities. He said the loyal foot soldiers of the organisation help the association to grow by leaps and bounds and enumerated the activities planned for the term.

General Secretary Dr. Jijan Sam Thomas welcomed the guests and members, while Vice President Dr. Roshila Mathew proposed the constitutional ammendments. Dr. Srikanth Reddy, the Treasurer and Dr. Tiny Elsa Thomas, the Membership Committee Chair welcomed the new members to the association. President Elect, Dr. Shalin Anna Simon led the felicitation of past council while Joint Secretary Dr. Amrita Geevarghese introduced the new Executive Committees. Immediate Past President Dr. Thomas Thomas felicitated the members leaving Kuwait, while Joint Secretary Dr. Asheel Mohammed proposed the vote of thanks.

Event Management Committee headed by Dr. Aju Wilson, News and Media Committee headed by Dr. Bankima Malhotra and Membership team led by Dr. Tiny Elsa Thomas helped the Council to organize the event in an exemplary manner.

The meeting was attended by more than 175 Indian dentists and was sponsored by Nexus Financial Services Ltd. and Philo Pharma. Mr. Sunit Arora, General Manager of Nexus Financial Services Ltd., spoke about the importance of investment, while Mr. Michael Eskandar, General Manager of Philo Pharma introduced the new drug Abracep.

The meeting ended with a sumptuous dinner after the interactive session organised by News and Media Committee, which helped the members to break the ice and interact with each other more freely with innovative games and contests.The MCs for the evening were Dr. Serene, Dr. Jane, Dr. Tiny and Dr. Pramod
