Reflection

بسم الله (bismillah) we start each day,
With gratitude, we find our way.
Beneath the mosque’s serene dome,
Soulful chants, a peaceful home.

Underneath the crescent moon,
In the bustling streets, a lively scene,
Family, friends, all in between.

Through fasting, we learn restraint.
A lesson in patience, never faint.
For in the hunger, we find strength,
Sharing meals & breaking bread.

As the month fades, a bittersweet feeling,
It’s light still glows,
In deeds of kindness, in prayers we say.
