IPS Field Trip to Lulu Hyper Market

At Indian Public School, Salmiya we believe in all round development of the students. On 23rd April 2024, students of Class II were taken on a field trip to Lulu hypermarket in Hawally as part of extended learning on chapter ‘Food’. The students identified healthy and unhealthy food enthusiastically.

They were shown different sections of the supermarket - fresh fruits and vegetables section, grain section, toiletry section, frozen food section, bakery, canned goods, toys etc. Teachers explained to them how things are bought, billed and paid for. This gave the students an opportunity to see, perceive and learn about commodities that are available in a shopping mart for daily use.

In Addition to this, the Lulu Management also arranged a basketball game for the students. On the whole, it was a fun-filled learning experience for each child. We hope these experience will help our students to make the right choice when it comes to healthy eating.
