4 year jail for Residency Affairs employee for taking bribe for visa

The Court of Cassation upheld the ruling of a lower court that sentenced a Residency Affairs Department employee to four years in prison with hard labor for taking bribe for approving visa.

According to report, the employee received KD 500 bribe from a Pakistani in exchange for completing an entry visa transaction. The incident happened in June last year, it added.

The employee was arrested red handed as the illegal transaction was recorded in the camera.
