Quickflix - a Mega spot film contest in Kuwait this Friday

For the first time in Kuwait, the Kuwait Film Enthusiasts (KFE) - a group of Indian Film lovers is conducting "QuickFlix" - spot film making contest. In the first of its kind contest, the participants are required to shoot a short film of 3 to 4 minute from the allotted spot within 24 hours, including all the post-production works, organisers explained in a press briefing.

The final session of the event will be held at DPS School auditorium on Friday, May 31st from 5:00 pm onwards.

The spot film contest will be judged by the renowned Malayalam film director Jinu Abraham and Cinematographer Sameer Haque.

The evening program also include a musical evening led by famous playback singer Jitin Raj, in which, the famous Malayalam actress Reema Kallingal will be the chief guest.

Around 16 participants are already registered for the spot film contest. There will be 14 awards based on various categories for the contest, KFE Patron Jinu Vaikatu said during the press briefing.

During the mega event, KEF also felicitate prominent personality in Kuwiat Shri Babuji Batheri with 'Ramu Karyat Lifetime Achievement Award' and Biju Bhadra with 'Overall Achievement in Film Technology'. The entry to the event is totally free and the orgaisers invite all film lovers to the event, Jinu Vaikatu said.

KEF Convenors Jijuna Unni, Habibullah Mutichur, Bivin Thomas and Sarath Nair were also present during the press briefing.
