Longing to go to school

Longing to go to school

I have been stuck in my house for the past three and half months. And this really is driving me crazy. During usual school days before lockdown, I always wished for a never ending holiday. But right now, I regret my desire. I guess most of us is facing the same trauma. But we have no choice.

I really do miss school, my friends and my teachers. I miss them so much that it’s okay for me if I don’t go to Lulu, the park, the mall or anywhere but I want to go to school. I don’t know if every one of my age feels the same or not but I surely do. Don’t get me wrong; I obviously do not miss studying as my school had provided the facility of e-learning classes. I did not had to get up at 5 and there was no need to wear the uniform. The classes really did go well even though it did not give me a classroom experience. And I really don’t think it will. Actually, it’s not anyone’s fault.

I miss the attack for food once we open our tiffin box. We even used to have silly fights to which I laugh now while thinking about it. I really long for those days when we used to throw paper balls on each other.

Then is the thing that we all must have done at least once- Changing seats. We used to change our places most often. And when we’ll come to know that our class teacher would enter in any minute, all of us would rush here and there to find our seats.

I miss watching the programs that is held in the auditorium and everyone clapping and whistling for it.

Back in school, we used to sing, yell and crack jokes when the teacher was not around (sometimes, when the teacher was present).

I miss my teachers, they’re scolding, jokes, way of teaching etc. There are many more things that we did in school that I would really like to mention about but I’m quite afraid if any of my teachers would read this and will come to know about the stuff we did in class. Of course they know about it, but still I’m not taking any risk.

I do wish that my school starts by August i.e. after the summer holidays as always. Hopefully, Covid might get eradicated by that time. Till then let’s all stay safe and healthy in our homes.
