Sanskrit is an ancient language ,whose text is dipped in clear purity .. This language was used to write the ancient textbooks of the Hindu tradition . And yet , it is interesting to say that Sanskrit is still alive . Many ancient languages for example , Latin used years ago by the Romans , is not alive . But , Sanskrit , is still used as common language in many parts of India. It’s also interesting to know that , Uttarakhand , had made Sanskrit , as their mother tongue . Ranging from kids to elderly people everyone converses in Sanskrit . Not only in Uttarakhand , even in some parts of North and South India , this language is still used as their medium of instruction . What’s the meaning of Sanskrit ? It ,means well-cultured . No one can add or take away words in Sanskrit . The word rain and water alone has got 98 synonyms . So you can find out how great this language is ?
To spread the greatness and knowledge of this language all around the world ,
Samskrita Bharathi and Vichara Bharathi joined hands together with Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan to teach the people of Kuwait how to converse in Sanskrit within 8 days . It was from 12th October to 20th October . It was held at two schools , at Bhavans from 4 pm to 6pm and at Indian Community School from 7pm to 9pm . An eminent scholar Mr. Subramaniyam from Dubai was called on to teach the interested participants . There were a lot of people , a lot I mean .
The first day , we learnt the basic steps of conversation . That is , What is your name ? My name is so and so . Which standard you are studying ? I am in so and so class . Where do you live ?etc .. The next day , we learnt singular and plural . We were asked to form sentences, and tell it to the person seated next to us . Day by day , we started gaining a lot of knowledge in Sanskrit . At the end of the given period { i.e 20 Oct] , we were asked to form groups and present a small skit on the stage , to see what have we learnt ? The given time was 10 min and we organized the story , formed sentences , and prepared ourselves for the best . We were shown some videos based on Sanskrit language thriving in British schools . And the most exciting news was we were about to get certificates . We were asked to assemble at Bhavans , at sharp 7pm .
The next day , a felicitation program was arranged. All the chief guests were invited to light the lamp . After that a brief description about the two Sanskrit organizations [Samskrita Bharathi and Vichara Bharathi] and more about the precious Sanskrit language were given .A skit was also put up showing how two ladies were having a conversation before joining the course and after completing the course . At first they talked in English ,and after learning Sanskrit , they eventually started to converse in Sanskrit . A few skits were put up . Then Mr. Subramanium was called to speak a few words to the audience . After that , distribution of the certificates , the most awaiting moment had started. All the participants had received their certificates . And at last something more exciting had happened !

The distribution of sweets . They had served a large amount of Cashew nut cakes ,different types of dates sweets . We had enjoyed a lot .
